Day 54 Happy: I am ALL DONE with Summer classes!!
I just turned in my final papers for my Adolescent Literature class. I'm a super procrastinator. Like, the best one ever. My papers were due at 11:59 P.M. I sat at my computer and wrote my little butt off for several hours, put the finishing touches on them at 11:57 P.M. and sent the e-mail to the professor at exactly 11:58 P.M.
That's awesome.
And now I have to finish up my internship (after a week of vacation!!) which I don't really consider school anyways, and I will have two weeks after that until the Fall semester starts.
... and then the real fun begins.
Bonus Happy: I asked my lovely friend Angela to be a bridesmaid, and she said yes. We have become pretty good friends this year, and I am excited that she's going to be part of the wedding!

Keane! (047/365)
I love Keane. They are pretty much awesome. This is definitely my favorite song by them. I listened to it about 20 times on my iPod today while I was at my internship, and it made me happy. I thought I would share the awesome with you.
Actually, while we're on the topic of my favorite things to listen to (and in this case watch... will you marry me Adam Lazzara??), enjoy this little nugget:

Learning HTML!! (045/365)
Day 45 Happy: Learning (a little bit of) HTML!
Today, at my internship, I taught myself enough HTML to go through my template for my blog and change colors and fonts! I liked the background of my old blog, but I didn't like the colors. So, I played with it until I found something that I liked. What do you guys think?
Here is what the old blog looked like:
I like the new colors much better, and I did it myself! ::pats self on back::

Cookies! (043/365)
Day 43 Happy: Baking cookies with Angela!
Both Angela and I had bad days today. It was definitely a Monday, with all of its stereotypical nastiness. So, we got together after work, had a beer, and baked cookies to take to our internship tomorrow. They are yummy, and put us in a better mood after a day full of rude customers!
Happy cookies:
I also got to clean my house a little bit today, but I was told that being happy about cleaning my house was lame and that I am not allowed to use it for my happy today. So, cookies it is!

Intern Blogs Published! (033/365)
Day 33 Happy: Having my blogs published that I have worked on for my internship!
Since starting at my internship at Graphics Tech on Tuesday, I have written three blogs for them and their sister company, Data Tech. Today, two of them were put up on the websites, and another one is supposed to go up on Tuesday!
The first one is about copier machines, and how they can be used as a tool for identity thieves. It was pretty fun, because I got to reference the movie Office Space, and spent about 20 minutes watching clips of it on YouTube... as part of my internship! It was also filled with some pretty outrageous information.
And the second one is about the difference between content management system websites and static websites, which I had never heard of prior to this week.
It's pretty awesome to have something that I have written published on a professional site, and I feel like it is going to be good for my resume. Even though my internship is stressful (we already have deadlines!) I am having a lot of fun, learning a lot, and I get to work with a friend. Not too bad, eh?
(P.S. If you have something to say about either blog, please leave a comment on it to let my bosses know how awesome I am. Haha!)

Eat Fresh! (032/365)
Day 32 Happy: Subway veggie sandwich!
Today was rough. I had to get up early to go to my internship (which is still going well, but we have a deadline for tomorrow and I ran into some very frustrating kinks this morning), and then had to go to work. After all that, I am exhausted, but I will, most likely, have to stay up most of the night to study for my Criminal Justice exam, which I have to submit before leaving for my internship tomorrow morning. Marc went out to hang out with his friend... which is probably a good thing, since I'm not very good company right now, what with the studying and all.
So, isn't it just a little sad that the happiest part of my day thus far is the fact that Marc brought me a delicious veggie sub from Subway, on honey wheat bread with sweet onion sauce? I honestly could eat Subway every day of my life and be happy about it.
As far as happy goes today, there wasn't really anything else worth mentioning. But that's what this blog is really about... finding something to be happy about every day, even when nothing extraordinary happens.
What was your happy for today?

Internship (030/365)
Day 30 Happy: My new internship
This morning, my friend Angela (we go to school together and spent all of the spring semester working on a magazine that we made completely from scratch) and I started our internship at Graphics Tech in Tampa. We were only there for four hours and spent most of the time talking to the guy who is going to be in charge of us, but I can already tell that I am really going to like it, and that I am going to learn a lot!
I learned that Graphics Tech has a whole bunch of different services to offer to businesses, like social network marketing, website design, and website hosting, just to name a few. Angela and I are going to be working on a marketing campaign that is geared at customers that may need to update their website. If we get customers, and help design their websites, we can even earn commission!
I can't wait to go back tomorrow and learn some more stuff. I already found out that there are some things wrong with the way I write my blog (not the content, but there are ways to make it more likley to come up on google, bing and other search engines). I am going to fix it, but not right now, because Marc and I are going to dinner with some friends and then going to the 12:30 a.m. showing of the new Twilight Saga movie, Eclipse!

Sleeping In! (023/365)
Day 23 Happy: Sleeping in!
Today I had every intention of getting up early, doing some homework and housework, and then getting ready for work. Instead, I ended up laying around in bed, half awake, until 10:00, when I finally had to get up for work. I don't usually linger in bed that long, but I figured I deserved it.
A week from today, I start my internship at Graphics Tech in Tampa. I am both nervous and excited about it, but mostly I'm just preparing myself for the exhaustion. For six weeks, I will be working 40 hours a week at my regular job, plus 25 hours a week at the internship, and doing homework for two classes, Adolescent Literature and Survey of Criminal Justice. I am pretty sure that I won't have a chance to sleep in again until the beginning of August, so I took advantage of it today.
Hopefully, when all is said and done, my exhaustion will be worth it! I graduate from college in December, so I only have about 6 more months of this madness!
On another note... I am trying a veggie burger for the first time for dinner tonight. I'm terrified! What will a burger made out of veggie and soy product taste like? My sister, Lyndsey, says that they are pretty good, so I am going to give it a shot. I'll get back on later and let you know how it tastes.
Update: My veggie burger was... not terrible. It was a different texture, and didn't have too much taste, except for a char-grilled taste, which actually kinda made it taste like hamburger. I smothered it with mustard, ketchup, A1 and pickles, and it made for a pretty satisfying dinner. Marc was making fun of me because I was afraid to try it at first, just like I was afraid to try our first attempt at home-made vegetarian Chinese food last night (which actually turned out pretty good, but needs a few tweaks for next time). Being a vegetarian for almost a month has definitely made me expand my normal range of food! So far, so good!
