Day 34 Happy: Naps!
The last week has been crazy busy! Between starting my internship, working, exams and homework, and still getting the basics (like grocery shopping!) out of the way, I haven't got enough sleep for the past three nights and a row. Today at work (a 10.5 hour shift!) it started to get to me. I felt icky and nasty and felt so tired I could feel it in every part of my body.
I came home after work and went to sleep immediately on my cozy futon. Marc tried to wake me up for dinner, but all I wanted to do was sleep! Technically, I guess I didn't so much as take a nap as go to bed really early, because now I'm going to bed and I'm OFF TOMORROW!
Bonus Happy: My fishy seems to be doing much better! He's still a little sluggish and likes to hang out along the rocks on the bottom of the bowl, but he got excited when I shook his food and swam up to get it immediately. I hope he's okay now!

Intern Blogs Published! (033/365)
Day 33 Happy: Having my blogs published that I have worked on for my internship!
Since starting at my internship at Graphics Tech on Tuesday, I have written three blogs for them and their sister company, Data Tech. Today, two of them were put up on the websites, and another one is supposed to go up on Tuesday!
The first one is about copier machines, and how they can be used as a tool for identity thieves. It was pretty fun, because I got to reference the movie Office Space, and spent about 20 minutes watching clips of it on YouTube... as part of my internship! It was also filled with some pretty outrageous information.
And the second one is about the difference between content management system websites and static websites, which I had never heard of prior to this week.
It's pretty awesome to have something that I have written published on a professional site, and I feel like it is going to be good for my resume. Even though my internship is stressful (we already have deadlines!) I am having a lot of fun, learning a lot, and I get to work with a friend. Not too bad, eh?
(P.S. If you have something to say about either blog, please leave a comment on it to let my bosses know how awesome I am. Haha!)

New Layout!
Hey guys!
As you can see, I have chosen a new layout. The one I had previously was just a "blogger's templates suck, so I am just going to use this one for now" that I never got around to changing.
I like this one better, and feel like it is a little more "me".
What do you think?

Eat Fresh! (032/365)
Day 32 Happy: Subway veggie sandwich!
Today was rough. I had to get up early to go to my internship (which is still going well, but we have a deadline for tomorrow and I ran into some very frustrating kinks this morning), and then had to go to work. After all that, I am exhausted, but I will, most likely, have to stay up most of the night to study for my Criminal Justice exam, which I have to submit before leaving for my internship tomorrow morning. Marc went out to hang out with his friend... which is probably a good thing, since I'm not very good company right now, what with the studying and all.
So, isn't it just a little sad that the happiest part of my day thus far is the fact that Marc brought me a delicious veggie sub from Subway, on honey wheat bread with sweet onion sauce? I honestly could eat Subway every day of my life and be happy about it.
As far as happy goes today, there wasn't really anything else worth mentioning. But that's what this blog is really about... finding something to be happy about every day, even when nothing extraordinary happens.
What was your happy for today?

Comments are now working!!!
I have been told several times that my blog wasn't allowing people to post comments. I finally figured out (thanks to Google!) that the problem was my "third party layout design" from pyzam, and have corrected the problem.
Getting comments would be awesome (as it would prove to me that there really are people out there reading this), so please feel free to let me know your take on what I have written for the day.
Thanks!
- Kelsie Elaine

Fishy-Fishy (031/365)
Day 31 Happy: My little beta, Fishy-Fishy
It's hard to come up with a happy right now, although I had quite a few picked out earlier. I'm pretty sure my little beta fish is dying! He's been acting strange, sitting at the bottom of the bowl and not moving much for the last couple of weeks. Tonight, I had to change his water, and I think the stress of it might have been too much for him. He seems to be struggling to breathe, and laying on the bottom a lot, even turning on his side a couple of times. I don't know if he will make it through the night.
I know he's just a little fishy, but he's my friend. His bowl has sat on my nightstand for the past two and a half years. I always like to tell people that he's smarter than your average fish. He follows my finger around the bowl, wiggles faster when he hears the sound of my voice, and swims around like a mad man when I shake his food above the bowl.
He's made me happy for the past two years, so it is only appropriate that he's my happy today.

Fishy-Fishy
Update: I just googled "betta fish laying on side" and it turns out Fishy might not be dying after all! He might have a Swim Bladder Disorder (SBD) or he might be constipated, and he might get better! I have to put him on a fishy fast for the next 24 to 48 hours, start feeding him tiny meals twice a day instead of a bigger one once a day, and change up his food every once in a while. I'll keep you guys updated on his condition!
Update 7/1: I woke up this morning, and Fishy is still alive!
Update 7/2: He's still swimming around, and looks a little better! He'll be done with his fishy fast tonight and I will be able to give him a little bit of food. He gave me quite the scare, and I'm still afraid that every time I look at his bowl, he's going to be floating at the top. So far, so good though.

Internship (030/365)
Day 30 Happy: My new internship
This morning, my friend Angela (we go to school together and spent all of the spring semester working on a magazine that we made completely from scratch) and I started our internship at Graphics Tech in Tampa. We were only there for four hours and spent most of the time talking to the guy who is going to be in charge of us, but I can already tell that I am really going to like it, and that I am going to learn a lot!
I learned that Graphics Tech has a whole bunch of different services to offer to businesses, like social network marketing, website design, and website hosting, just to name a few. Angela and I are going to be working on a marketing campaign that is geared at customers that may need to update their website. If we get customers, and help design their websites, we can even earn commission!
I can't wait to go back tomorrow and learn some more stuff. I already found out that there are some things wrong with the way I write my blog (not the content, but there are ways to make it more likley to come up on google, bing and other search engines). I am going to fix it, but not right now, because Marc and I are going to dinner with some friends and then going to the 12:30 a.m. showing of the new Twilight Saga movie, Eclipse!

Our Anniversary (029/365)
Day 29 Happy: Anniversaries!
As of today, my wonderful fiancé and I have been dating for four years.
Marc asked me to be his girlfriend one my very first kayaking experience. We paddled out with a group of our friends to Honeymoon Island (where we will be getting married later this year) and he pulled me aside for a moonlit walk along the beach. We had been seeing each other regularly since Easter, and I had begun to grow impatient, wondering if he he ever intended to ask me to go steady. When we were all alone on the quiet beach, he finally asked me. And we lived happily ever after.
Our anniversary this year has been a quiet one. When we decided to get year passes to Universal Studios so that we could visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, we decided that was our anniversary gift to each other. We both had horrible days at work, and it was just wonderful to come home to each other and the quiet of our little apartment. We did go to the post office and mail out (most of) our wedding invitations, though, and that was wonderful! I can't wait until I start getting RSVPs back in the mail.
Here's to many more anniversaries to come!

Etsy (028/365)
Day 28 Happy: Etsy!
Today at work, since I (thank goodness) didn't have any homework due tonight, I played around on one of my favorite websites, Etsy. Not only do they have amazingly beautiful things for sale, but looking at all of the wonderful things that people have made is so inspirational. It made me want to come home and (finally) finish the handmade envelope liners that I am making for our wedding invitations, to give them that little something extra.
Here are my favorite things that I came across on Etsy today:
